![]() ![]() Virginius knows of the judge’s lust and tells Virginia that she will be shamed if she goes to Appius, and to die a virgin would be the only other option. Before he could defend himself, Appius (the judge) orders him to have his daughter turned over and be his maid. He hires Cladius to accuse Virginius of stealing his servant. Desperate, he concocts a plan to make her his own. The judge of the town notices her and begins to lust over her and is dire to get her. Virginia is a very beautiful lady, yet virtuous and pure. The Physician’s tale is about the Knight, Virginius, and his daughter. He is more in the range of middle class, though he is not one short of riches, as his lust for gold keeps him financially stable. The Doctor is very liked and respected among the people. From his work and saving tendencies, he can afford more valuable clothing such as robes of silk and taffeta. The Doctor is very healthy physically, though does not have much of a care in his spiritual health. ![]()
